RDEK IS OUR VOICE; I WILL BE YOURS I recognize the importance of being impartial in one's capacity as a voting member of the Board of Directors. Yes, after researching, listening and due process, a director must come to an informed point of view. That journey, however, must not be defined by ties to special interest groups. I understand that the constituents voted for me, it is my responsibility to represent their views, not my personal agenda. Likewise, it is imperative that each application be considered on its own merits without hidden agendas. For my part, I believe in transparency of process. Information should not stay with any Board Director. Two-way communication is important from and to RDEK. I welcome concerns and comments on the issues. Therefore, I pledge that I will make myself available to constituents, one or many, who wish to speak with me. It sounds simple, but let us be clear: I will return calls in a timely manner, answer emails promptly, and most importantly, I will be prepared to participate wholly in discussions at RDEK board meetings. |
