HOW I HAVE PREPARED

I have demonstrated initiative and commitment.  I have researched the job and I know that I have a solid understanding of the RDEK process – yes, I really do!

I have;

  • • attended committee meetings and board meetings since June

  • • met with LeeAnn Crane, Chief Administrator Officer for RDEK, who has pointed me in the right direction several times

  • • met with Loree Duczek, Communications Manager for RDEK, learning everything you want to know about recycling … and more

  • • met with Andrew McLeod, Manager of Planning and Development to review all of the planned projects that are in progress for the entire region

  • • toured the Columbia Valley Landfill Site with Eric Sharpe, the Manager of Environmental Services

  • • had an informative meeting with Bill Bennett the MLA for East Kootenay

  • • discussed issues with Norm MacDonald the MLA for Columbia River/Revelstoke

  • • met the current Mayor of Revelstoke and Liberal candidate for Columbia River/Revelstoke, Mark McKee

I have met with business leaders across the region, community groups, caffeine-seeking citizens at local coffee shops … pretty much anyone that will give me the time of day … and I continue to do so!  I believe this has been time well spent.
